Social Responsibility

Active involvement to the benefit of society is a central concern of HÜTTINGER's. For this reason, the company maintains partnerships with several social welfare institutions and schools in Freiburg. In September 2008 HÜTTINGER entered into a collaboration with "IN VIA Katholischer Verband für Mädchen- und Frauensozialarbeit in der Erzdiözese Freiburg e.V." (Catholic association  for social welfare for girls and women in the archdiocese of Freiburg). Object of this collaboration: Each party offers the other party something they can benefit from - in a relationship of partners and without money changing hands.

Since February 2011 HÜTTINGER is committed to the "Wissensfabrik - Unternehmen für Deutschland e.V." (Knowledge Factory - Companies for Germany) and works closely together with an elementary school in Freiburg. HÜTTINGER`s social comittment is completed by divers partnerships with different schools located in Freiburg.

Cooperation and commitment in various ways

IN VIA girls discover the world of technology

Learning about technical jobs

IN VIA and HÜTTINGER are benefiting equally from the cooperation: HÜTTINGER offers hands-on days to the girls supported by IN VIA. On these days the girls are offered practical experience, e.g. by soldering a mono amplifier. Thus, the hands-on days also offer the opportunity of learning something about apprenticeships at HÜTTINGER. On the other side, IN VIA invites HÜTTINGER managers to take part in their activities under a program entitled "Blickwechsel", which means "change of perspective".
Getting Kids excited about Technology

Getting Kids excited about technology

Within the network of the "Wissensfabrik - Unternehmen für Deutschland e.V." HÜTTINGER has signed a cooperation contract with an elementary school located in Freiburg. As part of the partnership, HÜTTINGER supplies the elementary school with materials and tools, which the children use to construct vehicles. During a subsequent visit to HÜTTINGER, the children will then be able to "electrify" their vehicles under the instruction of the company's trainees. This means that the vehicles can either be fitted with a flashing blue light or with a siren. This project allows the children to develop building and construction skills and to experience technical correlations.

HÜTTINGER maintains partnerships with several schools in Freiburg. As part of these partnerships HÜTTINGER offers hands-on days and traineeships to the pupils. What's special about this is that also the teachers can take a whiff of the business. HÜTTINGER regularly invites them to its training workshops where they can construct and solder electronic parts. This practical exercises help to better understand and thus, to support their pupils when choosing a job.
