Wear-resistant layers for tools
Drills, chisels and other tools and components must stand up to increasingly higher stresses in automobile and tool technology. By now, functional layers can meet these requirements almost completely. They give workpieces increased edge hardness and static friction. They also provide better thermal and chemical stability. Commonly used processes include sputtering, plasma diffusion and HIPIMS.
Hard coated drill bits
A great advantage of plasma supported processes is the low coating temperature sometimes below 500° C. This means that even temperature-sensitive alloys can be coated. HÜTTINGER DC generators provide the regulation of the gas mixture, thus ensuring reliable and stable processes.
