Both induction and plasma generators are used in the packaging industry. Applications include induction sealing as well as plasma-enhanced coating of film packaging.
In theses processes the surface is roughened with plasma. Thus, metallic coating materials or ink bond better with the film. In another process, coating materials are applied through plasma technology. Materials treated in this way are impermeable to oxygen and protect the contents from drying out.
